5 Steps to Floating: How to relax in a float tank

Being able to relax in an 8 foot by 11 foot tank of water in the darkness with no sound is not an easy task, especially for people afraid of water and small spaces.  Here are five tips I use in order to help me relax and feel at one with the water in floatation tanks. 

Using movement in water as therapy

We don't realize how much emotion we hide away in our bodies until we are in water.  Because water is an equalizer and a place where you can do many physical things that you can't quite accomplish on land - lay horizontal without the ground, do flips, bend the spine various ways - it is the perfect place to allow our bodies and minds to explore themselves.
